What is a slurry?
We found that making a slurry is best way to mix our flavor in to your yogurt and oats, particularly with the apple cinnamon and pear cardamom flavors because both flavors clump together after milling. It's a natural characteristic of the fruits and not a sign the product is bad and can't be eaten. Other flavors may become compacted when packaged and making the slurry is the best method.
To make a slurry simply combine just enough water to the fruit powder, mix together until you get a gel-like consistency. Add the slurry to your oats or yogurt. That's it.
The common practice in the food industry to maintain a powder consistency is to add fillers. We voted against the fillers because they don't add any nutritional value to the powder, it would be purely for aesthetics. Instead we chose to make a purposeful product with the ingredients we believe are necessary and nothing less. We'll chose purpose over pretty every time.
